BAY CITY, MI — Tom Tabor Jr.’s interest in cars began at a young age.
“It started when I was 5 or 6 years old with model cars,” Tabor said. “I couldn’t read the instructions, but my mom would give me [a model] on a Saturday morning and I’d have it all put together by the end of the day.”
“I think that’s where a lot of guys get their start [with classic cars],” he said.
Now Tabor works on cars of a slightly larger size. He plans to take two of his three cars, a gold 1960 Thunderbird and a white and red 2011 Corvette to the Cool City Car Show in downtown Bay City this weekend. A car cruise through town is Friday and a car show downtown is set for Saturday as part of the event.
